Media/design – print, digital, and oral. How content is delivered. The means by which the message is communicated.

 

How did you engage with media throughout the semester?

• All assignment required final print copies
• All assignment required blackboard posts, and final drafts uploaded to blackboard
• I had to present orally using blackboard and receive much content from the instructor through oral presentation/PowerPoint.

 

How did you analyze media impact your writing?

• Depending on the purpose of the project, students would examine which media was the best for delivery of their content.
• Moving from print media to oral media required considering what specifically would be include in the presentation. Not everything can go from print to digital/oral
• Recall the in class letter writing assignment that required considering 3 different audiences, the content changes from print to digital)

We used multimedia to accomplish our assignment objectives. In the technical description, we used paper as our media, some classmates also had presentations to discuss their items. We also used blackboard to post and exchange our commons. Assignments were also posted to blackboard foe peer review. In the engineering proposal assignment, each group was required to present a 10 to 15 minutes presentation. By doing this, I improved both writing skill and speaking skill, as well as built my confidence on public speech.
